The Setting

our setting is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for your child’s early years. Our nursery is divided into three distinct rooms, each tailored to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of our young learners:

Babies (Under 2s)

Our Babies setting is a haven of comfort and care for our youngest attendees. The room is designed to create a home-like atmosphere where infants can explore, play, and develop essential sensory and motor skills. With cozy corners, soft furnishings, and age-appropriate toys, our Babies setting provides a warm and secure environment for your little one.

Toddlers (2/3 Year Olds)

The Toddlers setting is a vibrant space filled with engaging activities and age-appropriate resources. Here, toddlers are encouraged to explore their surroundings, interact with peers, and participate in activities that promote language development, social skills, and independence. Our dedicated staff members facilitate a range of creative and interactive experiences to support your child’s holistic growth.

Pre School (3/4 Year Olds)

In our Pre School setting, children are prepared for school readiness through a carefully planned curriculum that focuses on early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills. The room is equipped with educational materials, interactive learning tools, and a print-rich environment to foster a love for learning. Our experienced educators guide Pre Schoolers in activities that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a sense of curiosity.

Outdoor Play Area

At East Harptree Nursery, we believe in the importance of outdoor play for children’s physical and emotional well-being. Our outdoor play area is designed to inspire exploration and imaginative play. With a covered space for all-weather fun, children have the freedom to run, jump, and engage in nature-based activities. Our Pre School children also enjoy enriching Forest School sessions in the beautiful grounds of Harptree Court every Friday morning.

Each setting is carefully supervised and maintained to ensure a clean, secure, and stimulating environment for your child. Our dedicated team of educators creates a positive atmosphere where every child feels valued, encouraged, and supported in their learning journey.

Our Vision: Equality of Opportunity

At East Harptree Nursery, we believe in equal opportunities for all children and their families. Our approach is built on trust and interaction, valuing each child as a unique individual. We provide a rich and exciting environment, both indoors and outdoors, where active learning through play is promoted. We wholeheartedly support the four themes of the Early Years Foundation Stage: A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, and Learning and Development. Our teaching methods revolve around playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically.
